Edusave Scholarship for Primary Schools (ESPS)
The Edusave Scholarship Primary Schools (ESPS) are awarded on a yearly basis to the top 10% of Primary 5 and 6 students who are Singapore Citizens by level in all government and government-aided primary schools based on students’ school examination results for the year. These scholarships are to encourage students to excel in their studies and reward their efforts. The school will select students for these yearly awards at the end of the school year. The value of these scholarships is $350
Edusave Entrance Scholarship for Independent Schools (EESIS)
The Edusave Entrance Scholarships for Independent Schools (EESIS) are
awarded to the top one-third of the total number of Secondary 1 students based
on their PSLE results. Singaporean students with outstanding performance
in the PSLE will be invited to apply for the EESIS.
The annual scholarship quantum is $2,400 less the annual amount of school and standard miscellaneous fees paid by students in government/ government-aided secondary schools, whichever is lower, less any other subsidies provided by MOE or the School for Independent School fees.
Edusave Merit Bursary (EMB)
All Singaporean students in Government and Government-aided schools, junior
colleges/centralised institute, independent schools or institutions, specialised
schools or Institute of Technical Education and Polytechnics who
are not recipients of any Edusave Scholarship are eligible for the Edusave
Merit Bursary if they are within the top 25% of each level and course in
their schools and their monthly gross household does not exceed $6,900.
To benefit students from bigger households, they also eligible if their
per capita household income, ie gross household income divided by the number
of household members, does not exceed $1,725.
The values of the Edusave Merit Bursary for each level are as follows:
$200 for Primary 1 to 3
$250 for Primary 4 to 6
$350 for Secondary 1 to 5
$400 for Pre-University 1 to 3
$500 for Institute of Technical Education | Specialised Schools | Polytechnics
Edusave Good Progress Awards (GPA)
All Singaporean students from primary 2 onwards in Government and Government-aided
schools, junior colleges/centralised institute, independent schools or
institutions, specialised schools or Institute of Technical Education and
Polytechnics (from year 2 onwards) who are not recipients of any Edusave
Scholarship or Edusave Merit Bursary are eligible for the Edusave Good
Progress Award if they are among the top 10% who have made significant
improvement in their academic performance based on their overall examination
results compared to the previous year.
The value of this award is as follows:
$100 for Primary 2 to 3
$150 for Primary 4 to 6
$200 for Secondary 1 to 5
$250 for Pre-University 1 to 3
$400 for Institute of Technical Education | Specialised Schools | Polytechnics
Year 2 – 3
Edusave Award for Achievement, Good Leadership and Service (EAGLES)
Singaporean students who show leadership and excel in nonacademic areas
are eligible for the Edusave Award for Achievement, Good Leadership and
Service (EAGLES). The award is given based on the student’s achievement
in co-curricular activities and contribution to community services over
a one-year period.
The awards are given to a maximum of 10% of Singaporean students in every school selected by the school at the end of the year. The values of this award are as follows:
$250 for Primary 4 to 6
$350 for Secondary 1 to 5
$400 for Pre-University 1 to 3
$500 for Institute of Technical Education | Specialised Schools
Edusave Character Award
The ECHA is meant to recognise and affirm Singaporean student who demonstrated
exemplary character and outstanding personal qualities through their behaviour
and actions. The ECHA maximum quota for each school will be capped at 2%
of the enrolment of Singaporean sudents.
Similar to the practice for other Edusave awards, the ECHA awardees will receive a certificate and an award voucher. The ECHA award quanta are as follows, depending on the level of study:

SCGS Jinyu Meritorious Scholarship
The SCGS Jinyu Meritorious Scholarship will be awarded to new Secondary One students with excellent academic records. It shall cover: (i) School fees as charged by SCGS for local students for the year. Should the scholar also be in receipt of any other scholarship or bursary covering all or part of such fees, the Scholarship will cover only the difference between the student’s school fees (local rate) and such other sum due to her under any other scholarship or bursary. (ii) A monthly award of $100 to cover educational expenses.
Subject to continuing good academic performance and conduct, the scholarship will be renewed yearly to allow the scholar to complete four years of study in Secondary School.
The School's decision on the award of the Scholarship is final and it will not enter into discussion or correspondence on the merits or otherwise of any award made.
SCGS Sports Scholarship
Talented sudents with outstanding achievements in sports and games and
good academic records are welcome to apply for this scholarship to
study in the Secondary School.
The SCGS Sports Scholarship shall cover:
School fees as charged by SCGS for local students for the year. Should
the scholar also be in receipt of any other scholarship or bursary covering
all or part of such fees, the Scholarship will cover only the difference between
the student’s school fees (local rate) and such other sum due to her under
any other scholarship or bursary.
Subject to performance and conduct and conditions stated, the scholarship will be renewed yearly to allow the scholar to complete four years of study in the Secondary School.
UPLIFT Scholarship
With effect from 1 April 2019, MOE has introduced the UPLIFT Scholarship to recognise the achievements of students in Independent Schools who have performed well academically or in specific talents areas, and are from lower-income families.
The UPLIFT Scholarship is awarded to students who are:

Singapore Citizens attending Independent Schools;

Admitted to the school through Direct School Admission or qualified for the Edusave Scholarships for Independent Schools; and
-
(With effect from AY2023) From families whose monthly gross household income is $4,400 or less, or monthly per capita income is $1,100 or less, who qualify for 100% fee subsidy under the Independent School Bursary (ISB)
ISB recipients receiving 100% fee subsidy will be auto-awarded the UPLIFT Scholarship. To apply, please submit the completed ISB application form and all relevant documents to the school.
Other Scholarships
There are several scholarships offered by large organisations and foundations.
Students will be kept informed as and when applications are invited for
scholarships.
Other Awards
There are several SCGS awards to reward excellence and significant accomplishment
of students in both academic and non-academic performance. Eligible students
will be nominated and students meeting the selection criteria will be informed
of the awards.
