Sec 1 e-Reporting Day 2020

Dear Parents/Guardians

Welcome to SCGS!

Thank you for choosing SCGS as your daughter’s/ward’s school! We have a long history, a rich heritage, a tradition of excellence in all-round student development and a firm commitment to giving our students a quality holistic education. Many of our alumnae are members of society who have made important contributions to our nation and beyond. In the next 4 years, your daughter/ward will acquire new skills and knowledge, make new friends and develop her talents. Opportunities will be provided for her to be groomed into a world-ready and principled leader of character and relevance.

Due to the current Covid-19 situation, Secondary 1 Reporting Day is going online this year. By 23 December, you will receive a message via Parents Gateway (PG) to provide the link to our online reporting form which you need to fill by 24 December to confirm your acceptance of the place at SCGS and provide some administrative information. The following are links to other information needed to prepare for the start of school:

Please click here to download the relevant information to complete your registration.

The school year starts at 7:40 am on Monday 4 January with an adapted but still exciting Orientation Programme with Safe Management Measures in place. You will receive more information on the Programme and your daughter’s/ward’s orientation group and class via PG by 31 December. (The current class indicated in PG is not her actual class as we are still working on class allocation.)  In the meantime, please familiarise your daughter/ward with the public transport route between school and home. Public transport is the recommended mode of travel because traffic near the school can be very congested at peak hours.

Once again, thank you for choosing SCGS. It is a privilege for us to partner you in your daughter’s/ward’s secondary education.  We look forward to welcoming her on 4 January, and to meeting you virtually for a Parents’ Briefing later in January.

It leaves me to wish you Season’s Greetings and a Happy 2021!

Thank you.

Yours sincerely

Eugenia Lim (Mrs)

Principal
